Stephen Stine worked with the Association of Research Libraries for the week. While there, he summarized amicus briefs that had been submitted for the upcoming MGM v. Grokster Supreme Court case. Stephen reported that he liked summarizing and learning about complicated intellectual property law issues. He also had the chance to learn about various policy institutes and positions in Washington, DC, including lobbyist positions for libraries and universities. Overall, Stephen enjoyed spending his break in DC. His mentor was very helpful, friendly and informative, and he appreciated the chance to learn about careers in the city.
