Poets House

Three students worked on library-related research projects at the Poets House, a small, non-profit literary organization. In the heart of SoHo , Poets House serves as a public meeting center and offers access to one of the largest collections of poetry in the United States .

Shahana Alam and Kristy Cooper compiled a report to assist the Poets House in planning for relocation to a new facility near Battery Park. Abigail Potter researched and recommended a cataloging protocol for their growing poetry library.

 What students had to say:

“The Poet’s House is a great place and I enjoyed the few days I had there.”

“I liked having minimal supervision and
being able to explore the project
how I wanted.”

“The best part of the assignment was doing the research and working in the Poets House reading room.”
