Connect with SI: Information Sessions for Prospective Students
Our Connect with SI event for prospective students allows you to learn about the Master of Science in Information (MSI) and the Ph.D. academic programs in one convenient setting. This year, Connect with SI will be held:
We will meet in the Palmer Commons on U-M's Central Campus at 100 Washtenaw Ave. Parking will be provided to our guests. Maps and information related to the facility is readily available on the Palmer Commons Web site.
At the Connect with SI event, you can meet current students, staff, and faculty. You'll also hear about the master's and doctoral curricula and get an in-depth look at our MSI specializations, internship opportunities, and career possibilities. We'll also give you details about the application and admission process. And of course, we'll fill you in on obtaining SI scholarships and other sources of funding.
Our Master of Science in Information is the perfect complement to your undergraduate degree. We offer nine specializations in the master's program, or you can tailor your degree to fit your specific career goals. You can also combine your MSI with another degree in one of our six dual-degree programs with other U-M academic units.
Nine MSI Specializations
You may take one or two of the following specializations (or tailor your degree to your own needs).
A Top-Ranked Ph.D. Program
Our Ph.D. program seeks outstanding students who show promise of making significant contributions to the information professions in teaching and research. This full-time program is able to accommodate the wide range of interests that have been brought together within the School of Information. Learn more about our doctoral program.
