How
To Search: Simply type a few words describing
what you are looking for in the entry box, then click the Search button.
You can also search for combined terms (exact phrases) by surrounding
them in quotes.
Example searches include:
"english bond"
architect "Albert Kahn"
classic classical neo-classical column capital
Capitalization doesn't matter. The ranked results will come from a total
match on the words and phrases which you supply, so try to think of several
specific terms for your topic and spell them correctly. It's good to include
important plurals and derived words too, as in the last example.
PicoSearch will retrieve the best documents that match the query
by weighing all of the results. If all of the search words are found in
a document, that document will be weighted appropriately higher than a
document which contains only a couple of those words. PicoSearch
uses an advanced match totalling algorithm. It weighs all of the words
that are searched so that your users will get the best match for the information
that they are seeking.
