The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Office (DEIO) includes three core staff members and two Graduate Student Staff Assistants (GSSA) who work to lead and support the main DEI programs and activities.

Devon leads the UMSI DEI office which involves developing, facilitating, and supporting DEI initiatives and events across UMSI. She supervises the DEI Outreach Coordinator and DEI Graduate Student Staff Assistants and also serves as one of the staff co-chairs of the UMSI DEI Committee. Along with Judy, Devon is available to consult with UMSI faculty, staff, and students regarding DEI-related issues and concerns.

DEI Outreach Coordinator
Sandra coordinates K-12 and Community College outreach initiatives. This includes the Community College Summer Institute (CCSI).

Julia Dang (She, Her, Hers)
DEI Program Manager
Julia is at the forefront of creating and implementing DEI programming at UMSI that spans across educational affirmations and engagements on vital topics such as race, ethnicity, disability, gender and accessibility. Her role is instrumental in operationalizing school-wide strategic DEI plans and actively managing the vital functions of the UMSI DEI Committee. She also manages the DEI@UMSI Newsletter and is responsible for ensuring the community is informed about DEI events and news.
