Space 2435, North Quad
The UMSI Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee invites you to celebrate Lunar New Year! Join us for good food, entertainment, and the opportunity to learn more about the different traditions kept by members of our community.
Performances and activities throughout the event include:
- Chinese folk dance by Inner-Action Dance, a performing art company that started in Beijing in 2008 and has been training dancers in Michigan since 2009.
- Movement and Sound Improvisation Ensemble from the UM School of Music exploring mindfulness in movement and sound, using the Tao Te Ching of Lao Tsu as an inspiration and a resource.
- Seoul Juice, a KSA-affiliated Korean American singing and instrumental cover group.
- Yut Nori, a traditional Korean board game that people play on New Year's Day will also be available.
Please RSVP if you plan to attend.
