Alumni Profile: David Schneider

Information economics for management

Many students take a gap year between college and graduate school, but few pack as much experience into that time as David Schneider. A native of sunny southern California, David traveled to 18 countries in the year before enrolling at Michigan. He earned his undergraduate degree in economics at UCLA and continued his scholarship at UMSI where he specialized in information economics for management.

His internship with Sandia National Labs led to continued part-time work for them as he completed his master’s degree program. His ambition was high: to become a project manager for an elite firm associated with technology in a location that also sported a lively ultimate Frisbee community. Fortunately, within a month of graduation in 2012, David had found a position as a business technology associate at ZS Associates in San Francisco… where there’s no shortage of ultimate action.
