My name is Vaishnav and I am a Ph.D. pre-candidate at the University of Michigan - School of Information where I work with Joyojeet Pal and Sile O'Modhrain. My research interests lie at the intersection of Human-Computer Interaction and Accessibility. Through an examination of accessibility as a socio-technical phenomenon, my work attempts to understand the nuances of social interactions and values surrounding technology use by people with visual impairments and the subsequent role design can play in bridging the gap between inaccessibility and accessibility.
