Penny Trieu is a PhD candidate in the School of Information at the University of Michigan. Her research concerns how people can use communication technologies, particularly social media, to better support their interpersonal relationships. She also looks at identity processes, notably self-presentation and impression management, on social media. Her research has appeared in venues such as Information, Communication, and Society, Social Media + Society, and the International Communication Association conference.
