    • A course syllabus and/or other materials showing the portion of the course grade accounted for by the XR-related work
    • A brief narrative describing the work performed and its relationship to the class requirements

Petition Pre-Approval Feedback

Optionally, a student may request feedback from the committee regarding the potential for a successful petition related to a course they are currently taking or plan to take in an upcoming semester. The committee will provide feedback on the proposed plans, including any concerns and suggestions for improving the likelihood of an eventually successful petition. Pre-approval is not required for a successful petition, and neither does receiving pre-approval feedback guarantee eventual success. To request petition pre-approval feedback, the student must submit the Petition Pre-Approval Feedback Request Form, which will ask for

  • A course syllabus and/or other materials showing the portion of the course grade accounted for by the XR-related work
  • A brief narrative describing the work expected to be performed and its relationship to the class requirements
  • Contact information for the course instructor, in case the Committee has questions

Timeline

Petitions and Pre-Approval Feedback will be processed within one month after submission, provided they are submitted between Sept. 1 and Apr. 1. In some cases, additional clarification may be requested, delaying the provision of feedback or a final approval. Students should take these time constraints into account when submitting requests, particularly with regards to completing requirements in advance of graduation.
