Entrepreneurship Program Awards

The Entrepreneurship Program at the School of Information offers two annual awards to recognize leadership and vision in entrepreneurial activities.

Field Entrepreneurship and Innovation Award

This award will be presented to a team of entrepreneurial students from UMSI, the College of Engineering and the Ross School of Business that are developing new business ventures, with preference given to interdisciplinary teams. The award recognizes that failure typically paves the way for success, and that collaboration drives impact.

Prize: $7,500

Application deadline: TBD.

Weiser iEntrepreneur of the Year

This award is presented to a current UMSI student who has demonstrated a passion for developing a product, model, service, or solution that has a demonstrable social impact in the entrepreneurial information space. It is intended to encourage students to embrace the vision of UMSI to create and share knowledge so that people will use information – with technology – to build a better world.

Prize: $2,500

Application deadline: TBD.
