Michigan Library Leadership Cohort Membership
Next Level Leadership for Small and Rural Libraries / Cutting Edge Librarianship Webinar Series
Working with the Library of Michigan, Next Level Leadership for Small and Rural Libraries establishes a leadership cohort for Michigan's Class I - III public library leaders, many of whom do not have a master's degree in library or information science. Through a combination of face-to-face workshops and one-on-one consulting conversations, the 25-member cohort will gain insight, capacity, and expertise on leadership and effective library administration. For those looking to stretch their school, public, or academic libraries in new directions, the Cutting Edge Librarianship Webinar series offers free monthly presentations by UMSI and external thought leaders. This project is made possible in part by the Library of Michigan and the Institute for Museum and Library Services.
The amount of the award is $178,382 for UMSI for the project period. The grant is funded by the State of Michigan, Department of Education.
