As a sub-awardee of a larger grant awarded to the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, Lada Adamic contributed research to support the development and growth of the Information Network Research Center (INARC). The project was funded by the U.S. Army Research Laboratory in order to develop new technologies to support information networks in uniquely challenging environments.
With this National Science Foundation CAREER Award, Lada Adamic studied the effect of community structure on information diffusion through the analysis of online interactions.
UMSI assistant professor Eytan Adar has been selected to join a large team of academics and scientists from across the U.S. who are working to automatically detect emerging scientific and technical capabilities by analyzing vast collections of technical, patent, and scientific literature.
