Before SI: Earned a B.A. from Brown University in comparative literature, with a focus on Latin American literature and culture. Spent six months in Bolivia as a videographer.
At SI: Traveled to London and Nuremberg to participate in a collaboratory with Lucent Technologies. "We were really pushing the envelope, trying to help the company work around the world in a 24-hour environment." Since then, he's written and produced shows for the National Geographic
Channel, fulfilling a lifelong dream.
After SI: Worked at Scient Corporation in San Francisco as a knowledge liaison, serving as a resource for people attempting to access information and craft effective business strategies. Attended Stanford University's graduate program in film and is now employed at Michael Hoff Productions in Emeryville, California, where he is a producer and writer. One of his projects was Command Decisions, a 20-part series on The History Channel in 2004. He used his acting talents, too, by appearing in a couple of episodes. He was also involved in the creation of seven one-hour shows for the National Geographic Channel.
