Hello there! I currently work as the Administrative Assistant in the Engagement Center. I began in this role in July 2023, which also was the month my family and I moved here to Michigan. I come from Colorado, specifically Fort Collins in Northern Colorado, where I had lived my whole life until moving here. While it was a big move and family adjustment, it has turned out to be wonderful and we truly love it here! My previous job was at Colorado State University so being able to continue as staff here at UMSI has been perfect. 

I have a passion for engagement, conversation, and connecting with people. Among my many identities, I identify with being a first-generation student and multi-ethnic. I look for situations where I can help students and others navigate higher education while relating to those as dominant identities as well. Overall, my goal is to help create an environment that students can feel welcomed and comfortable in. 

When not on campus, I can most often be found watching a sports team that I support, or an auto race. When those are not going on my other hobbies include gaming, sketching/coloring, tinkering on my project car, or curating my various collections.
