Biography
Yoon Jeong is a PhD Candidate at the University of Michigan, School of Information, co-advised by Professors Sun Young Park and Mark Newman. Her research aims to advance equitable health management for children with chronic conditions by developing systems that empower them to actively collaborate with their caregivers.
Her research focuses on how technology like AI chatbots can facilitate families' collaborative illness management through health data tracking and reflection. Drawing on insights from the studies and resulting publications, her long-term vision is to create AI-supported health tracking tools that help children learn from their own data, enable parents to provide appropriate oversight, and foster shared family reflection.
