Tina Wen (MSI ’27)
Information and Data Analytics
Originally from China, Tina chose UMSI to learn how technology and data can solve real-world problems and has gained practical experience through internships, hackathons and Engaged Learning Office programs. Outside the classroom, she participates in SIMA and the Moli Performing Art Ensemble and enjoys dance, painting, cooking and exploring new cities.
Roger Briddick (MSI ’28)
Product Management
After studying psychology at U-M, Roger’s experience in game development and UX inspired him to explore how user needs, business goals and technical teams shape successful products. Roger participates in WolverineSoft Studio and enjoys designing and playing video games, running, cooking and spending time with his cat, Miso.
Maiara Lewis-Cipriano (MSI ’27)
User Experience Research and Design
Maia is an incoming Accelerated Master’s Degree Program student. Originally from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, she returned to UMSI to deepen her human-centered design skills and explore UX writing and emerging technologies. Outside the classroom, she enjoys traveling and painting and is creating a 16-piece collection inspired by her hometown.
Tessa Kipke (MSI ’28)
Information and Data Analytics
Taking courses in User-Centered Application Development
Tessa chose UMSI to combine her interests in people and technology while exploring human-computer interaction, data analysis and computational social science. She participates in the School of Information Master’s Association and enjoys traveling — in 2025, she walked the Camino de Santiago across northern Spain.
Katie Clementi (MSI ’27)
Libraries, Archives and Knowledge Environments in Society
Katie discovered her passion for archives while digitizing her family’s photographs,VHS tapes, and 35mm slides at the D.C. Public Library’s Memory Lab. At UMSI, she has pursued hands-on experiences through Alternative Spring Break and the Cultural Heritage Summer Internship Program. Katie serves on the executive board of the U-M student chapter of the Society of American Archivists, and is a member of ALA and SIMA.
