Bobby Madamanchi
Biography
Bobby Madamanchi is a data science lecturer at the University of Michigan School of Information. He holds a PhD in Cancer Biology from Vanderbilt University, completed postdoctoral research in computational systems biology at Purdue University, and was the independent Future of Work & Learning Postdoctoral Fellow at Purdue Polytechnic.
Bobby teaches data science courses and emphasizes applied problem-solving and authentic learning experiences built around independent student projects. He facilitates student-centered research across areas including sports analytics, virtual cell and tissue modeling, civic technology, and workforce development.
Bobby is a cofounder of a student success tech startup focused on executive functioning, backed by Ann Arbor SPARK and UM Innovation Partnerships. His broader interests include workforce development, worker-centered technologies, and labor as a civic institution.
