Biography

Katy provides oversight of the Academic Programs and Student Life (APSL) team situated within the Office of Academic and Student Affairs. Katy’s team leads a wide range of success-oriented work with and for current students at the School of Information (UMSI) across academic programs at UMSI. Specifically, her team oversees academic advising and academic program management for residential degree programs, academic success (tutoring, early alerts/academic difficulty intervention, probation, emergency funding, and critical student case management), and student life (orientation, student orgs, leadership, wellness, social events, community building, and graduation).

U-M School of Information welcomes sophomores starting fall 2025

Undergraduates will now be able to enter UMSI one year earlier, as sophomores. The expanded BSI program offers deeper engagement with the UMSI community and curriculum.
