Megan Brown

Biography

Brown's research is centered on the online information ecosystem. In her research endeavors, she studies political bias in algorithmic systems, the effect of platform governance and moderation policies on the spread of political content, and research infrastructure to support computational social science. Formerly, Brown was Sr. Research Engineer at the Center for Social Media and Politics at New York University where she collected and maintained large-scale collections of social media and digital trace data for social science research.
