University of Michigan School of Information
New transfers

We welcome all students from other two- and four-year community colleges, colleges and universities ("new transfer" students) to UMSI! This page should provide you with the links you need to complete a successful application to the upper-division School of Information Bachelor of Science in Information program.
Typically, students join us in their junior and senior years to complete their four-year degree with us. We offer outstanding support for students joining us midway through their academic undergraduate career, and we understand that students transferring in may have different life circumstances, including family and work responsibilities.
If you’re interested in earning a BSI, don’t forget to join our interest list!
