Parking and transportation
U-M Parking and Transportation Services (PTS) has information about bus options, van-pooling, parking permits, visitor parking, patient parking and University vehicle leasing. They provide maps, bus routes, schedules, parking permit and vehicle lease options as well as brief construction updates that may affect your commute to school. PTS provides special transit services to students, faculty and staff. These are particularly helpful if you need transportation after hours.
The Ride is the Ann Arbor public transportation system, which is free for students with an MCard. At their website you can calculate the best route to get to your destination, access bus schedules and track the arrival time of your bus.
Campus safety statement
Each year, the University of Michigan prepares an Annual Security and Fire Safety Report and publishes it in the Campus Safety Handbook. The report, which is issued each October 1, contains detailed information on campus safety and security policies, procedures, and programs and statistics concerning crimes on campus. To request a copy, call 734-763-8391 or download the current report.
