About the Academic Advising teams

Academic Advising is located within the broader Academic Programs and Student Life team at UMSI. By bridging four areas of focus — academic success, academic program management, academic advising, and student life — APSL is able to work collaboratively to support UMSI students inside and outside the classroom. 

The APSL team assists students with navigating personal and academic challenges, both directly and through referrals to university services and resources. We collaborate with students and faculty to develop new programs and initiatives that meet the needs of UMSI’s growing student body, and we develop and conduct student assessments and evaluations for academic programs and services. We also have an amazing team of graduate student interns, peer tutors and peer advisors supporting our work in academic advising, academic success and student life!
