This session will highlight a number of databases and datasets related to company and industry and consumer information. Search strategies will also be discussed in order to help demystify the competitive intelligence research process. Students can expect a crash course in business research and will come away familiar with at least a few new resources to explore.

 

Speaker: Celia Ross is a UMSI alumna and has been a business research librarian for over twenty years. Her background includes working in consulting and venture capital firms as well as a large public library and in academic libraries. She is currently a librarian at the Ross School of Business Kresge Library and is working on the third edition of her book, Making Sense of Business Reference.
