The UMSI Engaged Learning Office will hold a general pre-departure session open to all U-M students who are planning to participate in an international experience during the summer of 2025. The session will incorporate health, safety and risk management information from the U-M Global Engagement Team along with guidance on navigating cultural differences, culture shock and other challenges that students may experience during their time abroad. Each year, UMSI joins other U-M schools and colleges in offering these general pre-departure sessions to students to ensure that all students traveling abroad are well-prepared to succeed wherever they choose to travel.
