Caitlin Endyke: How to make the most of your time at UMSI

Currently a senior product manager at CarGurus, Caitlin Endyke is leveraging her time at the University of Michigan School of Information to connect people with cars they love. 

A 2020 graduate, Endyke earned a Master of Science in Information and a Master of Business Administration. Today, she uses both those degrees to help make critical decisions at her job. 

“Delivering a great experience for our customers and driving business outcomes for us go hand in hand,” she says. “Having a strong background in UX principles helps me put myself in the position of our customers and reinforces customer empathy. In developing scripts and determining what researchers should be testing, my research background from UMSI helps me dig into those insights.” 

Endyke’s advice for UMSI students is to go big, seek out engaging experiences and enjoy your time at U-M. 

“There are a few opportunities in your life where you get to dig deep into what you're interested in and leverage a community of like-minded people,” she says. “Interesting talks lead to interesting experiences and interesting connections.”
