Loretta Parham on being open to new opportunities and not getting ‘trapped in a lane’

Currently the CEO & library director of the Robert W. Woodruff Library, Loretta Parham is always searching for new ways to serve the communities she works for.
From Chicago to Pittsburgh and then Atlanta, Loretta brings the skills she learned at UMSI to each position.
A 1977 graduate of the University of Michigan School of Library and Information Science, now the School of Information, Loretta enjoyed learning about administration and connecting to faculty members.
Don’t be afraid of opportunities to relocate because you never know where it will lead you in your career. Flexibility is a big deal.
