Morgan Gray

Biography

Morgan Gray is a PhD student at the School of Information where they are a member of the Health Justice Informatics Lab and advised by Dr. Megan Threats. Using qualitative methods, Morgan's work is broadly concerned with the intersections of health information behavior, disability justice, and the ethical design of emerging technologies. They are currently engaged in research examining the chatbot information behaviors of disabled and chronically ill individuals when seeking health information, and the future design of AI-enabled technologies to better support disabled and chronically ill individuals navigating health and wellness. Morgan draws from and is inspired by disability justice frameworks in their research.

Morgan received their Bachelor of Arts degree in Voice and History from Lee University in Cleveland, TN in 2013 and completed their M.S. LIS at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign in 2021.
