UMSI Graduate Guarantee

UMSI Graduate Guarantee, for the Master of Science in Information (MSI) or Master of Health Informatics (MHI)

Did you get the Go Blue Guarantee? Keep going!

Free graduate school tuition for current or previous recipients of U-M’s Go Blue Guarantee

The University of Michigan School of Information (UMSI) is now offering free tuition in two graduate school programs for full-time students who were awarded the U-M Go Blue Guarantee grant as undergraduates at the Ann Arbor, Dearborn or Flint campuses.

The UMSI Graduate Guarantee provides four semesters of tuition and fees in the School of Information’s Master of Science in Information (MSI) program or the Master of Health Informatics (MHI) program in Ann Arbor. This is a grant, not a loan, funded by the School of Information. It will begin with students enrolled for fall 2023.

How does it work?

You do not have to apply specifically for the UMSI Graduate Guarantee.

You are automatically considered when you:

1. Submit your application to the School of Information’s MSI or MHI program.

In the application's Financial Assistance Information section, be sure to check the box that indicates you received a Go Blue Guarantee grant.

2. Get admitted to either of those UMSI programs.

3. Watch your email for confirmation of your award.

UMSI is committed to keeping a world-class education affordable and accessible to those pursuing graduate study at UMSI. The UMSI Graduate Guarantee is the first of its kind offered by a U-M school or college. It’s the latest addition to a portfolio of substantial scholarships that students receive consideration for when applying to UMSI master’s programs.
