Several faculty members and students of the University of Michigan School of Information (UMSI) will be presenting papers and serving on panels at the upcoming ACM Conference on Computer-Supported Cooperative Work and Social Computing (CSCW 2016)

UMSI Assistant Director of Admissions and Student Affairs Veronica Falandino has been selected as a 2015 U-M Distinguished Diversity Leaders Award recipient. 

Assistant professor Julia Adler-Milstein has received the 2015 Early to Mid-Career Impact Accelerator Award from the University of Michigan Institute for Healthcare Policy and Innovation (IHPI).

Two UMSI researchers will investigate the value of motivational messages and peer interaction on study group attendance as part of a grant from U-M’s Center for Research on Learning and Teaching (CRLT) and the Vice Provost for Global and Engaged Education.

A new U-M School of Information award will recognize students for innovative, “outside the box” thinking and problem solving, thanks to a generous gift from UMSI alumnus Jerry Miller (AMLS ’86, PhD ’95).

Paul Resnick, the Michael D. Cohen Collegiate Professor and Associate Dean for Research and Faculty Affairs at the School of Information, will serve as interim director of the University of Michigan Health Informatics program.

Assistant Professor of Information Julia Adler-Milstein has received a $158,030 grant from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services for her project surrounding the Comprehensive End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) Care (CEC) Initiative.
