Your formal education doesn’t need to end once you’ve left UMSI. The University of Michigan offers dozens of free online courses for alumni, including many taught by UMSI faculty. In addition, UMSI just launched its first all-online master’s degree in Applied Data Science. Because learning never ends.

Michigan Online is your destination for over 100 free, online learning opportunities developed and taught by U-M faculty. Areas of study include arts and culture, business, data science, education, health, science, social sciences and technology.

Master of Applied Data Science (MADS)  

The Master of Applied Data Science is one of just three all-online graduate degrees offered by the university and the first to be offered by the School of Information. Student in this skills-based program, taught by our world-class faculty, will gain insight into data and develop knowledge in programming, statistics, data analysis, information visualization and machine learning. The project-based program is meant for learners from a broad range of educational and professional backgrounds.
