Volunteer and engagement opportunities

Volunteering is a great way to stay connected with UMSI, fellow alumni, and current students!

Connect with students:

  • Connect with prospective students to answer questions about UMSI - Contact the Office of Academic and Student Affairs ([email protected]) for more information.

  • Engage with and mentor students in the Master of Applied Data Science (MADS) online degree program - Contact [email protected] for more information.

  • Recruit current UMSI students for internships and jobs at your organization. Create a recruiting presence by participating in career fairs, design jams, and panels - Visit the Career Development Office or email [email protected] with interest or questions.

  • Engage with UMSI students through client-based courses, volunteer programs such as Alternative Spring Break, student project mentorship, skill development workshops, and more - Visit the Engaged Learning Office or email [email protected] with interest or questions.

  • Engage with students through the Alumni Career Connections Program to impact their career success by volunteering one hour of time for virtual engagement. Become an alumni volunteer through this program to help students expand their professional network, gain industry insight, improve job search readiness and gain confidence. There are opportunities for 1:1 career chats, portfolio/resume reviews and mock interviews. Sign up today!
