Description

In SI 699: Big Data Analytics, master's-level graduate students demonstrate mastery of data collection, processing, analysis, visualization, and prediction through a semester-long project, tackling real-world problems using complex datasets, while working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and showcasing independence and leadership skills, aligning with industry best practices.

Deliverables

Deliverables will vary by project and be based on the client needs and project scope. Examples may include:

  • Written report
  • Final presentation
  • Code repository

Client Requirements 

  • Level of engagement for course/program 
    • Occasional meetings with student team
    • Regular feedback and communication to student team based on the course schedule
    • Introduction to stakeholders and users for interviews and/or data gathering
    • Access to organizational data, systems, and/or resources necessary to complete project
    • Complete project evaluation
  • Special requirements for the course/program 
    • Designate a primary or secondary contact who knows and understands the data
