Biography

I interface with students across all degree levels and disciplines and facilitate programs that prepare students to work with community-based organizations on real-world information challenges. I enjoy helping others achieve their goals and finding mutually beneficial ways to collaborate and innovate. Problem-solving and process development are exciting, and I hope to share that excitement with UMSI students!

My background is in nonprofits and positive youth development, and I believe in the power of involvement in community as a way to add a sense of place and purpose to life. I chair my city's Parks Commission, sit on the board of a nonprofit, and enjoy regular volunteer work at a local organization. I hold a Master's degree in Nonprofit Administration and take every opportunity to absorb new information and put new skills into practice.

Originally from the southeast U.S. but now a true Michigander, I love the outdoors and especially great lakes beaches, road trips and travel with my family, reading, hanging out with horses, and running.
