Damon Carucci
Biography
Damon Carucci is a doctoral candidate at the University of Michigan School of Information, working with Dr. Kentaro Toyama. Using qualitative methods, Damon’s research investigates the information practices of people as they navigate complex healthcare and education systems. Grounded in the lived experience of vulnerable populations, his work aims to re/design systems and make policy recommendations that help people to thrive in these environments.
Aside from research, Damon enjoys learning about and experimenting with equity-focused teaching practices. He has taught undergraduate and graduate students on a variety of subjects, such as team-based problem solving, user research methods, and information architecture.
