Program structure for BSI students
The Accelerated Master’s Degree Program (AMDP) allows high-performing Bachelor of Science in Information students to earn a Master of Science in Information degree in just one year.
Degree requirements
The MSI normally consists of 48 credits. Through the AMDP, you will complete a reduced requirement of 30 credits of graduate-level coursework to earn your degree:
- Core courses
- Mastery prerequisites
- Mastery course
- Internship option
- Electives
Internship option
Through the UMSI internship courses, AMDP students are able to earn up to 9 course credits. Students typically complete an internship for credit in the summer between completing their BSI and starting their MSI degree, but there is flexibility to earn credit during the fall or winter terms.
International students: You have several options for seeking work authorization to pursue an internship. We recommend meeting with a CDO advisor early to better understand the options available to you.
