From working at Google on consumer products, to designing products for users at Plaid, Justin Cohen has been using his Master of Science in Information degree ever since he graduated in 2017. 

During his time at UMSI, Cohen enjoyed taking classes with UMSI professor Cliff Lampe and working with the city of Ferndale to design Rat Chat, which helps citizens report rats to the city. 

Cohen says students should make the most of their time at UMSI, learn as much as possible and not be afraid to take risks after graduating. 

“Take a risk if you're able to,” he says. “Go to a startup or mid-sized company that no one's heard of, and learn there. Next thing you know, you might be at a company that everyone wants to work for.”
