Biography

I am currently a Research Fellow at the University of Michigan School of Information. I work with Dr. Nicole Ellison in the U-M School of Information and Dr. Rey Junco in the School of Education at Iowa State University on the College Knowledge Challenge (CKC) research project. The goal of the project is to assess the effectiveness of a series of social media applications, games, and websites, funded by the College Knowledge Challenge project, that were designed to address college access issues.

I recently completed my PhD at the U-M School of Information where I worked with Dr. Soo Young Rieh. I am part of the Social Media Research Lab (SMRL), Information Behavior and Interaction (IBI) Research Group, and Michigan Interactive and Social Computing (MISC).
